Dinner No. 14: a Zambian & South African-inspired plant-based tasting menu with MasterChef’s William J M Chilila. One night only.

Earlier this year, before our UK debut, I reached out to William and told him about LEBA.

His response was immediate.

His wife is Hungarian, Budapest is one of his favourite cities, and after hearing the story behind the project, he wanted to be involved.

Several months, many messages and one phone call later, we’re finally bringing this collaboration to life — our third event in England, second in London.

For me, this collaboration also felt personal.

Long before this dinner was even a possibility, I remember watching William on MasterChef: The Professionals in 2018 and thinking, I’d love to work with him one day. Eight years later, that thought has become reality.

William has been given complete creative freedom for this menu. One brief only: plant-based.
